Summer, 2007

I can’t believe summer is here! God has blessed us with so many wonderful opportunities for worship, fellowship, missions, and so much more during the next three months. I hope you will take a moment to look through the newsletter and to go ahead and mark your calendar for those events in which you would like to participate. I’m looking forward to a wonderful summer together. I know God has some amazing things in store for us!

A Challenge To You...

I challenge each of you and myself to truly listen for the voice of God this summer. Seek His will and plan for specific situations and for your future. Why is something this simple sometimes so hard? It is hard because we often fail to do it regularly.

C.S. Lewis wrote that “We can only do it for moments at first. But from those moments the new sort of life will be spreading through our system: because now we are letting Him work at the right part of us. It is the difference between paint, which is merely laid on the surface, and a dye or stain which soaks right through.”

I challenge you to not simply paint God onto the exterior of your life, but to soak him up into your innermost being.

Love, Michelle
